wdavidprice
Just found a "baby Ikonta" in a box of cameras I bought at an estate sale. It has a Derval shutter with 25, 50 and 75 speeds plus B and T. Best I can tell the glass is perfect and the bellows is tight. The shutter seems to work on the 25, 50 and 75 speeds but the B and T settings don't work. Any ideas on what could be wrong?
John Seaman
Are you sure they're not working? Some of these old shutters work slightly differently, whereby the B and T settings don't "cock" like the timed settings, they just operate as you move the lever back and forth.
ralf_j.
What John said, as a matter of fact if you try to cock the shutter while on these settings, it could damage it altogether.
tom_cheshire
Unless it has an extra dial at the 3'o clock or 9'o clock position with the letters "Z D M" which roughly translate to I(nstant) - B - T in such a case you have to set it before using the shutter.
