<p>Spring was hibernating as we spent a day at Longwood Gardens to see their featured blue poppy and orchid displays in the heated conservatory. There are taken with a 28-105 macro lens.</p><div></div>

<p>I still need a little time to practice with all the <em>free </em>Nik software. Since I use Capture NX2 it takes some extra steps to integrate the various Nik modules. So far I'm glad to have them.</p><div></div>

The spillway radio controlled airplane club does a tribute to Veterans each year. This year the weather went from socked in fog to grey skies, to glare, to dark. Certainly tested the autofocus of the D800 and my abilities with small flying objects and not much contrast. There were veterans from far too many wars .<br>
