Looking for empty 5 1/2 " spools

Hi everybody,

 

I have a K24 aerial camera (kodak made in the 40-50's ?) that uses 5

1/2" wide roll film.

 

I'm looking for empty 5 1/2" wide spools. Posso (spool manufacturer)

told me the spool references were 138x15.

 

I know that kind of search is a bit desperate...

 

I plan to put spacers inside the spools to use 5" wide roll film (or

even 120 rollfilm).

 

Any help welcomed ;-)

If you have a spool you could use as a sample, I would talk to a local machinist and see if he can make what you want. Even without one I am sure they could help in replicating what you need in plastic or aluminum.

Why not contact a lab that processes aerial film? Or buy some spooled film

from Kodak, Agfa, Fuji, etc?.

 

But you will need to be much more specific.

 

The holes are different depending on the camera, so are the core diameters

and the flanges.

 

One common size is the NATO spool. A modified version of the NATO spool is

used in the Aero Technika.
