john_shriver
Lot number 74 in Westlicht's current auction (number 23). The website is so freaking glitzy that I can't generate a page link! (Annoying.)
There is already an absentee bid for 12000 Euros.
dhbebb
My tip - buy the nicest Leica IIIa and f2 Summar in the world for £600, and with the change you have left, buy any of his books (I have "Witness to Our Time" and "Aberdeen") and a bottle of your favorite beverage, and have an uplifting experience while saving yourself a bundle!

Rick_van_Nooij
Hmmm Post-war Summitar, Post-war VIOOH...I guess the camera body might have been involved in taking that particular photo.

Here's the Daily Mail link
dhbebb
Not fair, David. The world needs mass produced commodities that have been turned into Holy Relics.
True! In that case, I recommend that anyone interested also buy a print of the VJ Day kiss and a felt tip pen, which they should then use to write "Great working with you - all the best, Eisie!" on the print. They should then frame the print and make up a suitable story to go with this and the camera!
