Well, another week of impressive shots.
Matt, nice truck!
Bob, great shot.
Rick, fantastic, right place right time!
John Rowsell, he’s grown into a lovely dog, nice shots.
Peter, WHOA!
Lorne, nice crisp shot.
Bill, looks like the Cat’s been having some Wild seed, that expression!
Roberta Davidson, There are brown Pelicans here, still to get a good shot, they come around late evening, light is falling of something terrible by then.
Emilio Gutierrez, creative, I like!
Jeannean, think you just set the benchmark for the Seasons Black necked Stilt photo's. There are some on a Pond here, will need to keep an eye on.
Sure as Fate I get a decent shot to use and it's the hot favourite for the week. So here's another Osprey. I'll try for the Green Heron next week?
This Osprey has become a regular around the barge, using the Mooring lines as Perch, Roost, Observation point & Dinner Table. Got every shot except Hunting! (Even some shaky Video...aren't DSLR's wonderful bits of kit?)

Have enjoyed the new Wednesday photos, so many "likes".
Rick Moran's osprey shot was impressive. To the bird: my what huge talons you have!
John Roswell's pups, I recall seeing the pups in earlier posts. At first glimpse, I thought the pups were kits, fox. Then I looked closer and noticed their short legs. Bet they had a fun time in the snow.
Was in Hopkinsville, KY early in the afternoon and took this picture of the old train station downtown on the old L&N railroad. Used D2H and 55 micro.

Hey, thanks a lot! Yeah, sorry! I used to caption each image with technical data, but I got lazy:

2. "7-11" Nikon D800E @ ISO 100 + AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G; f/8 @ 0.77 sec.
3. "Street" Nikon D3s @ ISO 400 + AF Nikkor 18mm f/2.8D; f/2.8 @ 1/2 sec.

Trying to get at least some detail in the external through-the windows scenery while also mixing up interior 12v lighting and a bit of bounced fill flash . . .

Excellent job on the luxury truck, Matt!

One more image from the Indian Wells tennis tournament this year. I was there exactly a week ago. The tournament is over today, and Maria Sharapova turns out to be the women's champion.

still using the D800E with the 300mm/f2.8 AF-S + TC-14E, 1/1250 sec and ISO 160. The lens was wide open at f2.8 for an effective f4 with the 1.4x TC.

00bSeM-526185584.jpg.b7b8552b50f05389857f0f4e9e970ae1.jpg
