hendy_assan
Hi, I came across this mint condition Zett Perkeo 415 Slide projector and interested to buy it. I never heard about Zett and wonder is it the same with Zeiss. Appreciate any feedback from whoever have this model and can it be used with the latest slide film. Thank you
frank uhlig
How do you read Zett as Zeiss? Of course it is not a Zeiss.
hendy_assan
It is Zett but made in Germany so I just wonder if it is the same company or maybe an older model.
olle_julin
Hendy, if I have understood this correctly, Zeiss Ikon bought the Zett projector factory in Braunschweig Germany (or was it the other way round?) in 1969. They produced projectors with the Voigtländer, Zeiss Ikon and Zett names. Today this factory is owned be Leica and makes the Leica P150, P300 and P600 projectors. They have also made the Hasselblad projectors. I once had a Voigtländer Perkeo projector, but unfortunately I know nothing about the projector you mentioned. luigi_d._sandon
Zeiss Ikon is no longer on the market. It became Zett and then was acquired by Leica. The Zett Perkeo 415 was identical to the Zeiss Ikon Perkeo 415 AFS (which I own) and not very different from the current Leica Pradovit 150. Some of the current Leica accessories (i.e. the light pointer) will still fit the Zeiss Ikon/Zett model. I believe Leica will service the old Zeiss Ikon/Zett models too.
