ardea
Merry Christmas! All of you 8x10 folks may find this Ebay item number of some interest. I have NO interest in this at all. I don't know who is putting it up for sale. Just passing along this info for those that may miss it. Ebay item # 1947171691
skip_a
Ummm, OK, I'll show my ignorance. What is it?
david_goldfarb
It's a neat thing--a registration system for 8x10" negs, so you can do things like unsharp masking, stripping-in, and contrast masking.
skip_a
Thank you, David. I remember now reading an article within the past year, I think, in View Camera magazine about using a pin-register punch type device to make unsharp masks for 4x5 negatives. It was the vacuum easel mentioned by the seller in this auction that threw me off. I didn't realize such devices were made with vacuum easels. I wish the seller had included a photo of the thing. Worth a thousand words, you know... Do you think it could also be used as a vacuum print easel for 8x10 contact prints?
david_goldfarb
I don't see why not.
