Robert W - that is the most beautiful dog face I have ever seen.
Mine is a shot of a man who looks like he needs some peace and tranquility. Taken in Mount Royal Park in Montreal - just a hop and a skip from McGill University.

00avpT-499861684.jpg.84cc3369e2f029aff3a14f3a96c9c8b4.jpg

Happy Wednesday! I had a few shots lined up last Sunday for what was supposed to be a nice morning, trying to catch the last few days of foliage.... well, it rained heavily. Thanks! We had to move inside into a (makeshift) studio... it did not stop these two brothers from having fun.

Happy Nikon Wednesday to all. Been shooting a lot with the F100 lately and haven't had the film processed yet but I did manage to catch a couple photos with the D90 this past week.First shot is that of the beautifully colored leaves just laying on the ground in the woods where I walk every day.

Wow, some great shots up already today! Rick M, your "Halloween Osprey" is a hoot! :)

Dragonflies (like other insects) are ectothermic, which means their body temperature is regulated by their surroundings. Raising their abdomens to reduce the area exposed to the sun, is called “obelisking”. While doing this, they can slow, or even stop a rise in body temperature. I'm always reminded of a gymnast when I see them perched this way. (It's still summer hot here.) This is a male Red-veined Darter. (D7000/300mm f/4@1/800, f/4, ISO 640)
