jon_busija
Going to have some fun and recreate some of Gil Elvgren pin ups. Dresses get blown up from 'wind'. Dont want to invest in wind machinery. Any ideas or shared experience is appreciated. Thanks.
will_perlis
If it's light fabric almost any desk or floor fan will do. If those are too expensive, have your model stand very close to the high-speed lane of a freeway.
johnw63
Leaf blower ? How about a shop vac that also blows.

urbanek
A leaf-blower ... oh, that will do. Great idea.
I used (up to now) a reasonable big and stable cardboard. A desk or floor-fan never did it for me.
Alternatively let your models throw their dress up in the air themselves. Works also very well.
john_ashby2
I've found the big sheet of cardboard to be great for hair but not too useful for clothing. I've never found a fan to be helpful. A leaf blower sounds interesting if it's not so strong it makes the skin look unnatural.
