thomas_elder
Hello,
I found a camera in my parent's house, and I am wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it? year it was used, value, etc? It says Made in Germany, Agfa, Synchro Box on the front and is in great condition. I tried to attach a photo - if it did not work, you can email me at wtrrat2009@yahoo.com and I can send a photo. Regards! ralf_j.
It is a box camera, with a single shutter speed; they are pretty common, and the prices should be anywhere from 5-10 USD. To be more precise, I would check completed listing on eBay for this. I have one of these and it takes ok images given the right conditions and film speed. I would suggest keeping it rather than selling it. The only thing it has going for it, is that it seems to be in nice condition and the art-deco front plate.

craigd
Agfa Synchro Box 600, made in Germany in the 1950s. Shoots 120 film in 6x9 cm format. Rather primitive optics (single-element meniscus lens, 105mm f/11) and only one shutter speed (1/50) plus a bulb mode. Basically a toy camera.
yuri_yupiter3
BUILT IN 1951
It uses 120 roll film and makes 2x3 inch negatives, ie 8 shots per roll. AGFA camera

chuck_foreman1
The great thing about this find is... it's in good condition! (works?) and you can still buy film for this sooo.... Get a roll off ilm and shoot it! Ilford has ISO 50 film "Ilford Pan F Plus 120 Black & White Print Film " and Fuji offers a Slide.film at ISO 50 (Slides at this size will knock your socks off) if your feeling like gambling with results. If you can'T find ISO 50 film then tkae ISO 100 it has some latitude .. yI suspect you will be pleased with the result ..enough so that you will keep the camera!
