Nikon CoolPix P510 -- any first looks?

<p>Anyone have any direct experience with one of these yet? The only other thread I found here was pointed at the use of 35mm equivalent focal length numbers, and not on the numbers themselves... a 24 to 1000mm (35mm equiv) optical zoom!<br>

<br />No RAW, no hot shoe, possibly some battery life issues, and no filter threads.... any others? How is it on the "extremes"?</p>

<p>As I did on my Nikon 5700 which has a small rim around the lens. I used this to fix a step-up ring to carry filter and close-up lens. The drawback is that somebody might be tempted to mount a lens adaptor and damage the precision lens.</p>
