D7000 + Nikkor 105 2.8 VR Problem?

I have a following problem:<br>

When shooting with the aforementioned set, sometimes after pressing the shutter, it looks through viewfinder like the mirror is goes up, and then down. The show is not going to be recorded onto the memory card in this case.<br>

The issue happens occasionally, definitely not for every time i shoot,<br>

Tried to shoot D7000 with my Nikkor 10-24, no such issue occured.<br>

but every time it happens I miss a shot...</p>

<p>You may have to send the camera - lens into Nikon ... hopefully your warranties for both are still in effect. If your problem is with just one lens, it may be that the D7000 body is not communicating properly with the VR 105mm lens.</p>

<p>I would first clean the electronic contacts around the lens mount to make sure that there is good electronic connection; clear contacts on both the lens and on the camera body. Hopefully you can find another Nikon DSLR. I would check that 105mm lens on a different camera.</p>
