how to see the frame numbers

<p>hello,<br /><br />i am making a pinhole camera and was wondering how can i see the frame numbers,<br /><br />as i wouldnt know how much should i rewind the film, if i make a hole at the back will get light inside the camera,so any ideas?</p>

<p>Why not get an old Brownie or Hawkeye camera to see how Kodak solved the same problem back in the day?</p>

A little hole corresponding to the frame numbers you want to use covered with a red filter. Or you can search ebay for a 120 back.

<p>This discussion on the F295.org forum might be useful to you. Depending on the format you plan on shooting (6x6, 6x4.5, etc.), the placement of the hole will differ with 120 film: </p>

<p>And I use a piece of red plastic cut from report covers for my window. You can buy them at your local "school supplies" store. If your hole is placed right up against the film paper, you will reduce the chance of getting light leaks.<br>
