I am continuing the theme assignment in this week's POW. I may even change the title, but not right away. This week's theme is Kids. So post your most creative or interesting photos of the little ones. These would be kids who are part of the wedding party--flower girls, ring bearers, etc.

Make sure it is 700 pixels or less in width and/or length - AND - make sure to enter a caption in the caption box on that page where you've uploaded. Some details about the shot would be helpful.

This is not a contest - but simply a discussion of art and technique, with illustrations. Positive as well as constructive suggestions are what will occur. HOWEVER - IF you wish to post your image but DO NOT WANT to be considered for critique - please say so in your caption. Images that show as a link will be deleted and you'll be asked to re-post.

Newcomers and Pros are both welcome to post in this thread. You can start discussing immediately. ;-)

Vail,
Thanks Vail....i used a lite desaturation...then upped the brightness to were i wanted it in the highlighted ares. Then 'masked' it and using paint brush at about 10% brought the highs back gradually. You can also blow out the image...then drop back one step in your history.....then use your history brush....about 10%...then bring back the brightness....

You can go crazy with layers, history, etc....as you can see in this image...

00ZlXS-426515684.jpg.78e1cf70c277e75b237846ed90acf200.jpg

My photos did not attach, so I'll try again - This shy little man was the righbearer at a outdoor wedding back in the summer. The bride squatted down so I could get a shot of them together and asked him to give her a kiss. He hesitated, then finally peeked her on the cheek. Not technically perfect and the photos did not downsize to well for this thread, but we got the shot.<img src="" alt="" />
