Compatability, Pros S & SD

<p>I'd like to know what parts / accessories that are sold as "SD" can be used, without adapters, etc. on the RB PRO S. Seem simple to me to determine, but I don't know. Mamiya doesn't publish anything that I've been able to find. It would also be nice to know what RB Pro S parts can be used on the SD model.<br>

<p>Parts? Any accessory can be used. I don't know what changes there were internally that "parts" might be compatible or not.</p>

<p>I shot the Pro S for several years and then got the SD, I used all my prisms and backs and lenses (isn't this when they enlarged the lens opening for the KL lenses?--an adapter ring was available to close the gap--never seemed to make a difference if used or not though).</p>

<p>I think all Pro S and Pro SD parts are compatible. The lens collar to fit non-K/L lenses to the larger Pro SD opening is useful to aid lining up the lens but once it is locked in place, it doesn't really do anything.</p>

<p>I think you cannot use the polaroid back from pro-s on pro-sd (or you have to get an adapter to mount it). Otherwise, all pro-s items can be used on Pro-sd.</p>

<p>I'm not an engineer but just looking at the SD adapter and what its function appears to be, it appears to be so the entire weight of the lens is not placed on the bayonet lock alone but also on the flange.</p>
