joy_s3
Hey Everyone
I'm just starting to get into a more professional side of photography and am looking for a reasonably priced, quick and easy to use photo album creation software. Perhaps something that can do smaller, single page collages as well? I don't want something publisher specific as I'd like to be able to use the same file at different publishers if need be (sales, quality, options, etc). I am strongly swaying toward Lumapix's Fotofusion. Has anyone else used it? What else do you all use/recommend?
--Joy

richardsnow
+1 for Fotofusion. I use it for more than albums. It takes some getting used to, but once you do it's quite intuitive.
peter_cohen
We've tried a bunch, and always come back to Photoshop. If you've got good Photoshop skills and aren't doing more than one-two albums a week, it might be your best bet. That said, of the ones we tried, the Fundy solution seems pretty good. If I was going to buy one, I'd go in that direction.
http://www.fundysos.com/album-builder/
maira_sharron
+1 for Photoshop. I create my own templates, however, you can buy whole album templates online and then upload the design to your desired publisher. You do need the knowledege, however, on masks and such.

sherijohnson
I have lumapix fotofusion and I love it. There are some tutorials that should get you up and running quickly. Also it is great if you design an album you love, you can save it as a template for future use which can come in handy for creating your own style. I also use it for creating collages quickly.

ianivey
Geoff, I only see galleries of individual photos at those links, and no albums, though I'm looking at this on an iPad, so if it is flash based, that might be why. Do the links actually take you to albums?
francie_baltazar
lumapix photofusion is the best - not so easy to learn but it rocks it when it comes to any layout at all - worth the investment....
if you don't want to outlay cash most album companies have software you can download - problem is you have to use their company...
mitch_w1
I used to use photoshop. Now using photojunction, which is a free program. With a bit of practice it's a lot easier and more efficient to use than photoshop. Each layout you create is automatically saved as a template for future use and/or customization. I can design a 20 side album in about an hour now. This album was designed using photojunction - Wedding Album

alexandrutunschi
+1 for Photojunction! It's free - first of all, simple to use, it exports the files in PSD - so you can add effects, backgrounds etc. in PS. Lot of support on-line also (video tutorials). Try it, you'll love it.
