carlviensphotographe
Hi everyone,

I just want to report that major Canadian retailers are now showing the Canon EOS 5D Mark II Body at 2299$. It should help some people who are asking "should I buy now or wait"... Or get these people more anxious for the Mark III...

Happy shopping :)
JDMvW
This could, but that would be an inference drawn by reason (which is out of style these days), be a recognition by somebody at long last that the 'loonie' is worth more than the US$.
carlviensphotographe
Interesting point JDM. As you say, that is out of style these days.

If that was true, they would not only adjust the price for a soon-to-be-replaced body, but for Canon's complete lineup of cameras, lenses and accessories.
chris_clarke3
Unless the Mk3 is just too amazing to pass, I'll stick with the 5D2 and in three years or so I'll get the 5D4. I shoot for fun not money.
gregf
From the rumors, I see no need to get a Mk 3. I don't do anything with video, and my printer (PIXMA 9500), can only print 13x19, which means I have to scale down the photo's. So, any extra MP is really not that useful, and since I learned photography with E6, I am still enthralled with the DR of *any* digital camera. The main reason I upgraded to the Mk 2 (aside from my annual bonus), was the automatic dust reduction.
