brittany_r._dunks
Hello,
Today my "index/reduce" button has stopped functioning. This is the magnifying glass button on the back, upper right on the camera, which allows me to review images faster by allowing up to 9 show on the screen at a time. When I am looking at an image and push the button it just shuts off/turns black, until it is opened again.
What is also strange is when reviewing an image, I can zoom in fully, but when I attempt to zoom out, with the "index/reduce magnifying" button, it will also shut off.
ANY ideas? Firmware is up to date, nothing strange has happened to the camera lately. Just out of nowhere.
thank you

I recently changed my custom functions to allow back button focusing, when I just changed them back to default, it worked again!

smooth_carrots
I use back button focusing and my "index/reduce" button works fine. I think you need to check your settings.

robin_sibson1
If you set back-button focusing on the * button, then the AF-ON button serves as the index/reduce button (manual, p. 182).
