Declogging an Epson 3800

Recommended Posts

Mine is hopelessly clogged. Several power cleanings, head cleanings; hasn't altered it one bit. The nozzle check is exactly the same, lousy. Prints show bands all across. Is there anything else I can do short of tossing it? Service center is going to be $600 (not counting transportation cost).

I used an ultrasonic denture cleaner that I got cheap from some place to clean small parts.
It blasted out the dry ink from an HP combination head/ink unit. After getting the water out, I was able to use it for several months. Taught me to use the printers every once in a while so the head won't dry out.
