berj_bannayan
Since I've been unable to find a place in Toronto that rents these lenses for the RB67 ProSD I've decided to buy one (I can kiss that vacation goodbye ;-) Some posters in this forum have noted that the older 90mm and 127mm (C and pre-C) have poor optical quality (Scott Eaton referred to them as Coke Bottles, if I recall). Anyone got anything to say about either of these lenses? I've got the 180mm KL and I'm very pleased with the results I'm getting. Can I expect more of the same from a 90mm or 127mm? Thanks. bill_dewberry
I own & use a RZ II, with 110, 140 & 210 Z lenses; I also use an old 127 C lens, and like its just as much as the Z lenses; the 127 C lens is a great lens.
vatovec
I own a 90mm C and a 180mm C - damn good Coke bottles i`d say!
psychophoto
I shoot with the 127mm KL lens all the time, and while I can't compare it to the C and older non-C versions, I can say that the 127mm KL is brutally sharp and it has yet to let me down in any way. If you can afford it, I see no reason to go with the older versions of the lenses. In addition to improved optical performance, you get a newer, more reliable shutter out of it too. igord
I have bought 127 pre-C lens on purpose for shooting portraits/models. Yesterday I printed 70x80 cm portraits for hair dresser and I can say that this lens is terrific for such work. The skin looks kind of soft and beautiful. enrico_pocopagni1
Hello Beri, in my set of lenses (50 ULD, 90, 180W-N, 360), 90 is the best performer for resolution, sharpness and contrast. Considering that 90KL has a floating element design, performances should be even better. Greetings.

I'm sure someone else here will be able to answer that for you. Berj
