We've had a lot of hummingbirds flitting around lately, so tried to capture one in flight. Talk about FAST. I have a new appreciation for Doug and Shun's stunning shots of them. This is a Buff-bellied species that are usually found in Mexico and South Texas, although they are starting to spread to the Gulf coast states as it's Mexican habitat is being lost to agriculture. (D90/70-300VR@1/200, f/5.6, ISO 400)

Hello everyone. This was taken at the AFEW Giraffe Centre in Nairobi. It is a conservation institution that seeks, among other things, to protect the Rothschild giraffe. The adolescent animals that live there are reasonably tame and take food pellets from the rangers and visitors. The light wasn't great on the afternoon that we visited.

00YfrU-354835584.jpg.1da1160d0133ce7f9473c1abf554eb6c.jpg

Good Morning Wednesday :)

Last Friday went to the beach with family to take pictures of kids at sunset. It was beautiful day with perfect temperature and lighting. This is one of them shot HDR and used only -1 and 0 exposure to get the color in clouds. Shot with Nikon D90 + Tamron 17-50 using Aperture mode @ 17mm f/8 1/1000 ISO 200.

Good Wednesday morning everyone. Some beautiful shots again this morning. Some of my favorites so far
Panayotis, Very colorful and original shot.
Lionel, Great capture of the foggy morning.
William, Very nice photo of the summer tanagers.
The weather here in Ashland County, Ohio has been terrible this past week. So my photo this morning is one taken a couple months ago. The SOOC shot was kind of anemic looking so I just desaturated it to B&W. The full sized picnic table is dwarfed by two huge oak trees.

Good Morning from the depths of northern Ontario.
This was shot at 6:20 last night. I hoped it was the last we'd see of the ice this spring. Low and behold, it was all gone when I went for a walk at 6 this morning! It probably just drifted down the lake (which is over 110km long); but at least we're not looking at it.

00Yft4-354865684.jpg.dfbea714ad86fb6080e754290ddf6fa5.jpg
