dennis_w3
I sold my nice 300/2.8, now what remains is a disassembled one I just can't seem to get back together. Nice glass, but no real good as a box of parts.
john_shriver
Got a Chinese Pentax 645 to K adapter, and played with the new 300/2.8 on my Pentax K-1. The adaptation allows focus well past infinity, I'd say they took 1mm too much off the back of the lens. A building 2000 feet away comes in focus at 150 feet on the focusing scale. (I can't imagine the Chinese adapter would be that far off.) Better than not reaching infinity, and actually quite easy to correct. (Remove tripod socket, loosen set screw, and screw front of lens in and out to collimate.) With a tripod, it's sharp. These shots are wide-open, of course. john_shriver
Lens on camera. Photo by iPhone 7. Not many of these on Pentax cameras. most of the adaptations were to Nikon F mount. But I have seen one with M42 mount. Edited November 16, 2019 by john_shriver
