Over at PDML we had a "photo scavenger hunt" last week. It inspired me to take an hour's photo-walk through the neighborhood. A couple of the shots:

And when I got back, a soothing pint:

Ok lets go easy on this one. This is some shots from my first wedding I have done. It was a couple of weeks ago but just now getting some of the pics wrapped up. The people did not have the money to hire a professional photographer so they went to the bottom of the barrel and found me. I said I would shoot the pics for free and give them a CD of pics if I could use the wedding as practice for shooting events like this so let me know what ya think.

00YXnD-346865584.jpg.18686b6a0c9a3d71dbbfaf99dbeb0ff0.jpg

Looking good everybody! The face paint shot on the first page is indeed special, as are others too. I have been itching to test my Rikenon XR 300mm f/4.5 but bad light and shooting through dirty windows have left me with not much to show. Finally we had some sun, although I still have technical challenges.

00YXpv-346893684.JPG.37286e4d892eb3141b0de89b501509a6.JPG

Thanks Haig, much appreciated. I am striving to get better, slowly, but hopefully surely. With guys like you, Justin, Matt, Javier, Markus, Robert, Howard, Peter, Jack, Nick, Dorus, Dave, Garry, (don't mean to leave anyone out) and so many others to learn from there is hope. Note: no fish pics lately, I must be growing somewhat.

Favorites this week:
Ron's graffitti
Antoni's Painted Face
Mel's Senior - Very Classic, great expression
Bob - You and Justin are another species from a much colder planet :-)
Markus - Flowers - Chairs, tables and graffitti a little too busy for me
Markus - Aspiring Photographer - pose emphasizes thought - nice light on her.
Jordan - Don't let the people in the Wedding and Event Forum know that you did this for free. Even though you are no "Uncle Bob", they will not be happy.
Sigmar - the serenity is palpable in #1
Jack - Good vignetting and composition - signature very distracting.
Good stuff people!

Howard,

Thanks for attempting to put me in the same alien species as Justin, but he is from a far colder galaxy than I. I'm a day tripper. He not only endures wilder, more frigid extremes, but then he relishes sleeping overnight in it. But thanks anyways...
