peter_nicholson
I'm using an Epson V750 pro, Vuescan pro 8.6, and a betterscanning MF holder.
When scanning images that have deeper shadows, I keep getting blotchy, black/blue/green pixelated areas where there should be some detail. In the image below, there is detail visible in the negative in those areas. Brightening doesn't seem to have any effect. Any ideas about that, and what that streak could be?

patricklavoie
i have seen this some time ago when i was scanning slide and push negative .. was a bad setting in the level (in your epson scanner software) The black point seem too strong.. try to reduce it by moving the black triangle further to the left, that should create a charcoal black instead, and should give you better details.

You can alsways after add some black only with a selective color in Photoshop in need...

the only thing i can see.
AlanKlein
What happens when you scan with the Epson scanner software that came with the unit?
Flickr gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/alanklein2000/albums
