Which cord for direct download 1DMkIIn

<p>Have a new computer and it does not have a firewire connection.<br>

What cord do I get to download directly from the camera to the computer? The Canon site is no help on this one.</p>

<p>Another vote for a card reader, in preference to any type of direct connection.</p>

<p>But, if you insist, you can go to a computer store and get a firewire PCI or PCI Express card (or the Mac equvalent) and install it in one of the expansion slots. </p>

<p>Use a card reader unless there's a good reason not to. If you can't, then use USB if the camera has it (I know my 7D and previous 20D have USB, but I'm too lazy to look up the specs for your camera; surely the manual will tell you) or an add-in firewire card for your new computer.</p>
