Sinar monorail standard?

Could someone, Sinar owner, tell me what's the size of the Sinar rail standard? I wish I could know the tube

diameter as well as the size of the square guide, and if the square guide is positioned above or under the rail

when the camera is set. Thanks!

From the 10" extension rail I have (too much grief getting the camera out from under a load of bits to get the standard rail ;-) ):

 

Outside diameter: ø37/37.1mm.

Key width: 7mm o/all.

Depth of key + rail: 40.6mm.

Key is on top when assembled (or same side as bellows)

 

Does this look like somebody's trying to make their own?

Andrew, thanks a lot for the measurements! Too bad, I considered a cross-breed with some used 5x7 Sinar accessories for my 4x5 Toyo, but the Toyo rail is 2 mm larger (38.9mm). Cheers, Paul.

I haven't seen a Sinar standard but based upon their reputation, I think that a competent machinist might be able to enlarge the opening in order to accomodate a Toyo rail without removing so much metal as to weaken it appreciably. Worth looking into, anyway...

Yes, probably. But the standard holes are often cushioned and have friction mechanisms and therefore it could make it difficult or impossible. Have to see one. Thanks, Jeffrey.
