Is Canon planning to release a f/2.8L in the 24-135mm range?

<p> I think we will see the Canon 24-70 f2.8 IS eventually, and it will cost like the Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS II.</p>

<p>A 24-135 2.8 ISL USM would be the size of a mini bazooka (weigh the same too) and cost maybe $2500+? A 24-70 or 24-80 2.8L IS would be a lot more practical without IS the current 24-70 is a beefy and expensive optic. Extending range and IS will only make it bigger and more expensive.</p>
