F-1 Dioptric Lens

<p>Anyone got a +0.5 dioptric lens for an F-1 they no longer need? Can't find one anywhere. I didn't think they ever made a +0.5 for the F-1 but saw one on a New F-1N the other day.<br>

<p>These half-increment diopters are harder to find. I wonder though...many Nikons used round eyepieces, for which dioptric adjustment lenses were made. KEH has boatloads of 'em, priced less than the Canon pieces.<br>

A good old-school optician could also craft one, with anti-reflective coatings even!</p>

<p>Hi Rick - I have one or two Nikon diopters, but even the largest diameter ones for the F/F2 are a smaller diameter and different thread anyway.</p>

<p>I know I mentioned this before but I had Ken Ruth at Photography On Bald Mountain in Davenport, CA take the glass out of a Nikon diopter (FE/FM etc.) and transplant it into a round Konica eyepiece for the Autoreflex T/A series. The Nikon diopters seem to be the most plentiful and least expensive. The round Canon diopters fpr the F-1 cameras are more rare. </p>

<p>You would need a ring to span the short distance between the Nikon glass and the Canon eyepiece but it could certainly be done.</p>
