i1Display Failure? Or Windows 7 issue?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have an Eizo CG241W and i1Display 2. Since updating to Windows 7 64bit, despite 100 attempts I can no longer calibrate my monitor, even after trying suggestions from Eizo support.

I note the i1 s/w does not support Win7, but the Color Munki does. So I think either I have a broken i1 or this Win7 is the issue (or, more remotely, an Eizo issue). In both cases it leads to buying a new calibration device is kind of where I'm at.

Anyone experience this, and is Color Munki the best device in town?

Thx!

Like others, the version listed for Win7 has worked for me. Where I did have a problem was with the video drivers. If you don't have the latest version of those, try updating those too. I found I had to go into the drivers and turn off or reset a few options so that the drivers wouldn't conflict with the color management software.

I have Win7 64 bit with ATI graphics card and simply downloaded the latest X Rite software which works fine with my Eye-One Display. No problems. Pretty good compatibility for a 7-year old Eye-One
