Most of the city sleeps at 2 am but building sites are everywhere in Zurich and on my way home by bike I met some welders repairing the tram rails and saw a spectacular house demolition as well.</p><div></div>

Well I stayed up way too late last night once again only to watch the Phillies lose. Congrats to the Giants, they deserve the title! Here are two from yesterday. One with the K20D and one with the 50D. I am doing my best to avoid posting shots taken with the Canon, so I apologize for this one.</p>

<p>It's getting harder to find the old remnants of the first settlers Barns, Huts, Sheds, etc. which once dotted our local landscape and are my favourite targets. Pretty much nothing left now within 20 miles of the city. Yesterday, by chance, I found a new "nest" deep inside a leafless grove of Aspens, near the airport. Also, a rough track in and a farm gate with no lock! There were no less than seven relics there. The day was dull and overcast with little contrast. I will be going back when the white stuff changes that. All K20D and FA-50/1.8 or F-28/2.8, about 1/30 @ f8.0 & ISI 100. A little help from S/H.</p><div></div>

<p>I recently got back from Luxor, Egypt. I took a hot air balloon flight over the desert and historical sights. The first is the setting up of the balloon.<br>

<p>The second is of Medinet Habu. This is the Temple of Ramesses III, which is one of the best preserved Theban monuments (but one of the least visited).<br>

<p>And thirdly a farmer who got woken up as passed over. It is quite common to sleep outside when the temperature permits at night in Egypt.<br>

<p>Here's a couple of shots from last weekends 14 mile scamper around the Tongue Mt Loop, Lake George,NY. The trail winds over a few small mountains with constant ups and downs most of the way until Montcalm Point. You are sandwiched between the narrows of 32 mile long Lake George and Northwest Bay.
