Vuescan, Input/Fine mode and the Nikon 8000 ED

<p>Can someone tell me if you can use the Input/Fine Mode with a Nikon 8000 ED. The documentation only states that it is an option with the 5000 and 9000. I am having horrid banding issues.</p>

<p>Did you download the Vuescan trial? If it exists (which it should) it's on the input tab.</p>

<p>Are you seeing banding in the TIFF or in prints? Are you scanning by defaults or adjusting something in advance (don't). Banding sometimes has to do with sharpening but usually has to do with printing.</p>

<p>Unless of course it's from the scanning : )<br />It's a known issue with the 8000 when scanning with multiple CCDs.</p>
