red box with x

<p>I have a D300 sometime when i go back a review the pictures on the camers screen some of the pictures will not be there in there place is a red rectangle box with a red x in the middle of it. What does this mean?</p>

<p>I7ve been using a D300 for almost 2 years now and i never got that....</p>

<p>It means that the image has been corrupted or is damaged and the camera can't read it. </p>

<p>Is this the same D300 that was having the black outs? </p>

<p>Yes David it is the same camera. I just found out that the pictures in question were down loaded to the computer before i looked at them on the camera and the card i was using was not a recommended card. would any of this matter? I think i have solved the black out issue: i cleaned the contacts on the lens and camera since haveing done that i have had no issue. I used the camera for volleyball and soccer a total of about 400 pictures. With no blackouts.</p>
