zongfu_chen
Hi,
I have a Two ring Nikon 80-200. Today, all the sudden the zoom ring stacked, can't move. I tried a little hard and then the rubber ring become free moving (without turn the zoom ring). Any one have any same experience? Can I tried to repair it or it needs to go to Nikon service center. It still focus well and can take excellent picture, just can't change the zoom. Thanks in advance
Zongfu
Wexford PA

Ed_Ingold
The zoom cam is plastic with plastic followers, which eventually wears out. The repair is not cheap - about $350 at Nikon Authorized Service in Morton Grove, Illinois. It gets a thorough CLA and comes back like new.
