riclan
Back from vacation in hot Nevada. I'm always surprise to see these motels from the 70's and still in business. It was around 110 degrees no pool but I assume there were an air conditioner. I was just passing by...

andrew_fedon
Sticking with the same theme this week. Better exposure balance between outside and inside this time. From two weekends ago, cruising at 37000 ft, the front view from from the 'office' is awesome.

D700, 24-85 nikkor at 24mm, 1/50, f/22

mark_mandell
A friend was about to become a quasi-empty nester as his youngest daughter graduated and set off for college. He threw a party and I showed up for free beer and complementary pix for the host. This is the graduate and her boyfriend. birdied
Hello everyone, such great photos!
This is a macro first for me, my first butterfly! A "Little Yellow" who I chased around my yard for quite some time. While this is not the full body shot ( which I did get ) , I liked this one the best. It was one of the first, and she seems to be looking at me with the "what the heck are you doing look"

Matt Laur
I really like Jennifer M's Bean, and Janne's shoes. And of course, Dennis B's excellent documentary work - truly one for the ages! As always, the entire thread is, as a single thing to experience, what this is all about. Thanks to everyone for keeping it so lively and interesting. Perhaps someday the Canon Thursday folks will catch up. Keep it, up Nikon-land.
ShunCheung
Bull Elk, Point Reyes National Seashore. It was a very foggy day, the most I have seen in that area. In fact, there was so little contrast that the D300's AF system had trouble locking onto the subject. That was the first time I had such AF problem due to low contrast after using the D300 for almost 3 years. I increased contrast like crazy in post processing.

Nikon 200-400mm/f4 AF-S VR lens, version 1 @ 300mm, f4, 1/640 sec on D300 @ ISO 200.
