Hensel Porty/Elinchrom Ranger SLA Battery Replacement?

<p>I recall once hearing long ago that the sealed lead-acid batteries in the Porty or Ranger were nothing more than common motorcycle batteries. Does anyone know the style or model for replacing a dead one without spending $200 on one with the Elinchrom or Hensel label?</p>

<p>I don't know for sure, but I remember the Hensel Porty batteries being around $75 @ Samy's a few years ago. It might be a motorcycle battery, but those aren't deep cycle batteries to my understanding, some sort of marine battery might make more sense in this regard. I need to pull mine out and check it out, I need two of them!?!</p>
