snik75 Posted September 5, 2010 Share Posted September 5, 2010
Those were on the k100ds with the 43mm. I upgraded to a K20d this week, and while I love how it handles and sounds and looks (through the VF and on the LCD) I am still fine tuning how my pictures come out. This worked okay, although a second, with better framing, was not good.

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dshombert Posted September 5, 2010 Author Share Posted September 5, 2010
Javier - Thanks for the kind words, very gratifying coming from a master of street shooting.
Hin - It worked, I'm hungry now. Hope you get the lens by Tuesday.
Other faves this week (so far) - Yuri's duck & dragonfly, Bob M.'s Ouzel Lake shots
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

trevor_peterson2 Posted September 6, 2010 Share Posted September 6, 2010
I took this picture this past week, and I really liked the composition. I played with the coloring in Lightroom, and ended up choosing "fluorescent" instead of AWB as AWB left the picture looking sanitized. Suggestions?

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MattB.Net Posted September 7, 2010 Share Posted September 7, 2010
Great stuff from everyone. I'm hungry now!
Standouts to me this week:
Dave - I like the generations one too. Good stuff.
Markus - the dog portrait is nice and fun. Those spots are perfect for B&W!
Javier - I really like Light. So many good things about it!
Dorus - all very nice but the second has such an etherial quality. Great PP!
Frank - I love that second shot. Beautiful light.
Sigmar - great staples!
------------------
I went on a hike today with my family, the K-x, and a coupe of primes into the Black Canyon of the Gunnison which is close and pretty impressive! It was difficult light a lot of the time but I managed a few I liked.
.
The biggest tree around:
<a title="IMGP9340 by MattB (somedudeus), on Flickr" href=" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4131/4966122635_0ae2e12ab6_z.jpg" alt="IMGP9340" width="426" height="640" />
.
My son giving his best rock star look
<a title="IMGP9494 by MattB (somedudeus), on Flickr" href=" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4108/4966727216_5c11c050a5_z.jpg" alt="IMGP9494" width="640" height="426" />
.
Fall is coming!
<a title="IMGP9469 by MattB (somedudeus), on Flickr" href=" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4083/4966816580_6553b383a0_z.jpg" alt="IMGP9469" width="426" height="640" />
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MattB.Net Posted September 7, 2010 Share Posted September 7, 2010
I think those are lens flare. Same number of light points as the lights.
I really like that first one BTW with the people silhouetted in front of the fountain.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
