Ever wonder what it takes to keep a 10-plex cinema complex cool and dried out in hot, hot weather? It takes a really, really big roof-top HVAC unit. I caught this crew swapping out such a unit the other morning. It barely fit on an extended 18-wheel trailer. Quite something to be dangling over top of the local parked cars and retail shops. They made it look easy. Had your Nikon gear at hand to capture our infrastructure being maintained by worker bees? Share a photo!

Bill J Boyd
Hello All, We had a bit of rain last week, so I made a trip to the local waterfall near my house. Shot with a Nikon D80, 70-300mm, ISO 400, f/18, 1/13.

jeannean_.
Not working on OUR infrastructure but...I've been hoping to get a shot of the "Mating Game" with either damselflies or dragonflies. Finally got one this past week at the beach. I guess it is a romantic place after all. ;-) D90/Sigma 150mm/Sigma 1.4x teleconverter @ 1/60, f/8, ISO 160. I occasionally shoot before-and-afters for a friend, and this shot was not planned at all.

I was on my way to a photography workshop and had some time to kill.
I used my d300 and sigma 70-200 f/2.8. Heavy but fun to shoot street photos with. danielowen
I came across this Blacksmith near Killarney, Co. Kerry. It was very dark in the Forge and I only had ISO 100 film. With the 50mm f1.8 wide open and metering off the red hot iron the shutter speed was still about 1 second. So I attempted to try and record the movement of the craftsman rather than get things pin sharp...

bikealps
This photo is from Hellyer Park Velodrome in San Jose, CA. The coaches are running a series of sessions to introduce kids to riding and racing fixed-gear no-brakes bicycles on the track. I've been taking my niece and she's been having a great time. While she rides, I photograph. Here is one of two of the more skilled boys on the track, Trey (on the left) and Ayoub (on the right).
