I'm visiting the beautiful state of Montana early in September (DV) could anyone help me with some tips and also any specific locations where good scenic vantage points may be found. I'm flying in to Bozeman and heading up the Southern part of the Rockies. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pete

Hi Pete,

The Many Glacier area and the Going-to-the-Sun road in Glacier National Park have numerous locations which are excellent for Golden Hours photography (more so, east of the Continental Divide imho). However, Glacier is at least a 5hr drive from Bozeman.
For something a bit closer and if you are willing to venture into Yellowstone/WY, consider the Beartooth Highway (Red Lodge MT to Cooke City MT) and Paradise Valley (Livingston MT to Yellowstone NP North Entrance). The Beartooth Hwy does close for Winter which can be as early as mid-September, though.
