Lovely images! The two that touched me most are the one from Dieter (so sensual, beautiful!) and the one from Ryan Solti (little Miss Tiffany, so to speak).

Have been out for a while, due to work and no time to breathe, so here I go again, after a refreshing week in Cairo: D700 and 50/1.4

Wonderful photographs! I think my favorite so far this week is Mikhail's dogs on the beach - I love dogs and you captured their energy and joy.

My daughter (my future ornithologist) spotted this purple martin (we think) on the windowsill last night. Our neighbor, a veterinarian, examined him and said he didn't seem to be injured but was very stressed. He handed the bird to my daughter, who found a sheltered spot where the bird could rest. This morning the bird is gone, with no trace, so we're hoping he renewed his energy and flew away.

This week I will follow Matt's theme of looking from on high. This was from a wedding I shot in the 1990s. I was at a big fancy hotel in NYC waiting for the bride and everyone to get finished for pics and was looking out the room windows at the amazing view. So I decided to get some shots with the N90 out the window for the bride later, which she absolutely loved because she loved her room. So now after all the "buildup" let me try to upload. Happy Wednesday, and certainly numerous awesome shots to enjoy her today.

00Wm8W-255903584.jpg.09488464286a7fe3697414230a7ba615.jpg

My friend took me up in a Boeing Stearman biplane on the 12th to an area NE of Vancouver, B.C. While he performed some aerobatics, I fired away on the D200 at 4 frames per sec CL setting trying to hold the camera while pulling G's from about 3 to about zero which isn't easy! Also looking through a finder while the world spins around is a sure recipe for revisiting ones last meal and I was no exception! Still a wonderful, once in a lifetime, experience. This is one of many frames shot performed during a loop.

00Wm97-255913584.jpg.609a2ff37b06a8dc3381a86e5b582410.jpg

I was checking out the Japanese Tea Garden in San Antonio, when I noticed another photographer grabbing shots of the beautiful scenery with a different purpose in mind. I absolutely love some of the facial expressions I captured here.

this beautiful college girl performed with her brothers in front of crowd at the Fisherman's Wharf on the last memorial day weekend, it's just amazing to watch the youngs practicing solid gym works on the street ... they're so happy and energetic that make people smile and cheer in a sunny San Francisco day.

00WmA2-255929584.thumb.JPG.4bffeb416c48e53ba95f51a2a89567f5.JPG

Hello all,
I see the imagination and creativity of fellow Nikonians continues to run wild with some excellent submissions this week.
I'll add my own for this week's theme of being perched somewhere out of the norm. Not a recent shot, but appropro nonetheless. Here I'm straddling a flybridge on a yacht at a boat show, taking a "self portrait" in the compass shield. Not sure if the portrait is of me or my camera. Used a crosshair filter on the lens for the starburst effect.
To all our American friends and those that wish to be a citizen or just like to party, Happy 4th of July!

00WmAk-255939784.jpg.4c98c1f8048cd8a9a694100f921e702c.jpg

Eddy Furlong: Am I seeing things or is that pot of gold at the end of a rainbow gas prices in the $1.31 range? Is this per gallon? If so, it is truly a treasure. I'm seeing 3.07 where I live.
Great photo at the right time.

The local fire department responded to a house fire about a year ago. At the beginning of June they did a controlled burn of the remaining structure for training purposes and to clear the property lot. Anyway, I just developed this, though the photo was taken a few weeks ago.

Nikon F100 Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 AI-S @ f/11 Legacy Pro 400 (this film is tops in my opinion, and it's 100 flavor is great too. I'm even bulk loading it now).

Hi!
Jana Hughes and Marc McCoy, outstanding images!

I did a roadtrip with the family this weekend, went out to the West Coast of New Zealand. Got some great weather, great light - even if it was a little cold...

This is the icy jetty on Lake Mapourika, some minutes north of Franz Josef (the glacier town). This was taken about an hour after dawn on a beautiful icy blue day.

Cheers,
