john_gateley
Has anyone figured out a clever or even clumsy makeshift way to "lock" the shutter speed dial on a Mamiya 645 to stay on the 60x position when using flash?
Thanks;John
michael_dean
I know this sounds terrible but I actually tape mine in position with scotch or electrical tape
c.u._volp
As far as I know, Mamiya has an actual solution to this very very very common problem: They modify the shutter speed dial so that it can be locked similarly to the AE-setting. Very simple, I just do not know why they did not think about this in the first place... Send your M645 to the repair department. I do not know, if they do this to older M645's as well, but I have heard from 645Pro-users who had it done.
david_shrader
I've never had the problem But I have seen other weddin gphotographers use a rubber band over the dial settings and around the body.
john_gateley
Following up on my question, I sent an e-mail to Mamiya. They will change the shutter dial on the Pro and Super models, but NOT the older 1000 or 500 models.
John Gateley
