Time to upload one recent image for show and possible critique. Make sure it is 700 pixels or less in width - AND - make sure to enter a caption in the caption box on that page where you've uploaded. Some details about the shot would be helpful.
By posting - you agree to allow your image to be chosen for discussion and critique for the week. One will be chosen at random. This is not a contest - but simply an image that we'll discuss. Positive as well as constructive suggestions are what will occur. HOWEVER - IF you wish to post your image but DO NOT WANT to be considered for critique - please say so in your caption. Images that show as a link will be deleted and you'll be asked to re-post.
Newcomers and Pros are both welcome to post in this thread. The thread will be closed late on Tuesday. Look for the choice on Wednesday. Please do not start the critique in this thread ;-)

Im uploading a picture after a while.
Taken with 40D and 24mm F1.4, when I took this one, I was really glad, thought it is a very good picture, now after seeing it in the PC I have mixed feelings. This image is from a RAW file. B&D just enter the reception area.

"On the Boardwalk"

This was taken at Rye Playground just north of New York City. This couple actually took the limo to a store where their good friend was working and could not miss work to attend the wedding, and visited him on the way to this part of the shoot (dressed and all). VERY sweet couple!

Well there are some fantastic shots here this week!
Here's another first of mine, from a few months back - it was a short civil ceremony, the bride is a good friend of mine and asked me to take a few shots. Here is the first kiss.
Canon 7D, 60mm Macro lens, f/3.2 @ ISO 3200 and 1/200 sec.

00WLHB-239823684.thumb.jpg.4cfd37df5405435373097d223ba56f8c.jpg

I pre-visualized the shot, quickly recruited the groom's brother as a voice-activated lightstand, told the B&G what I was up to and had about 15 seconds to beat them out the door and take two test shots. I didn't pose them, nor did I direct them in any way. When I started my series, I took four shots, bending down lower and lower (because I couldn't see if I had the reflection in the window or not). Each time I got lower, the leading lines got better.
Camera: Nikon D3, off-camera flash (SB-800) controlled with CLS through an SU-800. Light modifier was a Lastolite EZBox Hotshoe. 1/60 f9, ISO 2500.

00WLJL-239843784.jpg.0a15db9ba167e984feb87dcd6a28b8eb.jpg
