picturesque
Time to upload one recent image for show and possible critique. Make sure it is 700 pixels or less in width - AND - make sure to enter a caption in the caption box on that page where you've uploaded. Some details about the shot would be helpful.

By posting - you agree to allow your image to be chosen for discussion and critique for the week. One will be chosen at random. This is not a contest - but simply an image that we'll discuss. Positive as well as constructive suggestions are what will occur. HOWEVER - IF you wish to post your image but DO NOT WANT to be considered for critique - please say so in your caption. Images that show as a link will be deleted and you'll be asked to re-post.

Newcomers and Pros are both welcome to post in this thread. The thread will be closed late on Tuesday. Look for the choice on Wednesday. Please do not start the critique in this thread ;-)
tholte
An opportunity to shoot a Marine wedding does not come along that often and especially if it happens to be your nephew.

katiekat555
Bride getting ready = Sony A900 24-70mm lens - unsure of apeture but probably f/2.8 but I know I should have had more depth of field! Bride was in her own world just having whilst getting her make up done. Has some lightroom tweaks on and I think she looks like snow white.

fotografz
I shoot mostly photojournalist style images, usually done in B&W with a handful of the typical formals.

Last week's client wanted more of her and her husband in some "directed candids" (whatever that means : -) ... and I decided it would be fun to do something different ... not to mention I wanted to try out a new camera and some recently acquired portable lighting. This and 5 other shots were printed 17" X 22".

Hasselblad H4D/40, manual exposure mode @ 1/180th shutter, ISO 200; HC 100/2.2 @ f/6.3 ... Elinchrom Quadra on a light stick with a 33" translucent umbrella @ 300 w/s held camera right ... Metz on-camera TTL flash used for fill. (there was all kinds of activity in the background behind the couch, so I exposed to make the background go black).

stephania_w.
Shot with a Nikon D90, using 35mm prime at f/1.8, ISO 200 and 1/320. I pulled the veil over all 3 of us and snapped a few. I took several and I think this might be one of my faves! : )

brenna_l.
This was taken in someone's garden (planted in tubs). I used a 50mm lens. ISO 200 and I think f/1.7...
