I called the usual places around the country and was told anywhere from a 6 week to 3 month wait for Ilford 7X17. Also, the minimum order was sustantial. I called my local dealer, Simonds Photographic here in Connecticut. To my surprise he told me he could have my order in 3 weeks with a 5 box minimum. The film arrived the other day, sooner than three weeks and I was charged less money than I have paid at the other more well known dealers. I asked if he would mind if I posted his 800-232-1599. I haven't been held to a minimum order on Ilford at this point. Many camera stores have a minimum order for film from Ilford where Ilford will pay for the shipping. You may have been running into that. I think that is either $500 or $750. However, that shouldn't eliminate the possibility of an order for fewer than 5 boxes. As far as I have experienced, Ilford will ship a single box to a dealer without complaint. I think they will give a discount for a 'case quantity', which is five boxes for the ULF film, if I remembember correctly. If that changes, I'll have to start buying in larger quantities, and also purchase a freezer... My last order of film (7x17) took about a month to come in. The 12x20 I also ordered has not come in yet, but should be in at the begining of October, which will put it iat 6-7 weeks. ---Michael Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jeff_buckels Posted September 24, 2002 Share Posted September 24, 2002 Where are you guys ordering from?? I got two boxes of 7x17 125 speed (FP4+ cutoffs) from Photo Warehouse early in the summer.
