a_daved
Hi,

I would like to achieve this look.
http://i.models.com/i/db/2009/9/10640/10640-500w.jpg
Just wondering if anyone has any advice of how to get this look? Is it done in natural light. How do i get the skin very all so pale, and the shadows dark under the eye lids.
Would love to hear advice on both retouching and lighting.
I appreciate all your comments

Many Thanks

john_a5
get a skirt that is a little too short or a t-shirt that is longer than normal and a model with attitude and no money for underwear....
This is all natural light, probably bright overcast (but no shadows). I don't think there is any real trick used here, just a bit more contrast than normal. You can, and maybe done here, use a red filter which will darken the shadows(blue light) and lighten the skin. If that were the case, then just remember that anything red will lighten and blues and greens deepen(greens are tricky as they do have a lot of red coming off them in some cases).
Spearhead
It's definitely natural light, just jack the contrast in post. Given that it's almost certainly a conversion from digital, just do the filtration afterwards, not during the shoot.
Music and Portraits Blog: Life in Portugal
