tom_barrance
I'm thinking of replacing my Nikon D300 (great camera but heavy) with a Canon 550d/T2i as I want to shoot video using my old manual focus Olympus lenses. I don't need the D300's fast handling for the kind of work I do.
Comparing the cameras on DX0mark, performance seems pretty similar despite the 550d's 18MP sensor. The only area where the D300 is way ahead is colour sensitivity. Am I likely to notice the difference in the real world or is it just theoretical?
dcstep
What are your subjects? I doubt it'll matter to you for video, but you subjects may demand unusual color accuracy.

Remember, those DxO measurements are of unprocessed RAW files. The end result of almost any camera is almost always better than the untouched RAW file, the Canon 7D being a prime example. I actually use DxO's Optics Pro and love it, but those RAW file comparisons need to be taken with a grain of salt.
