lawrence_ho
Still going through the "Light: Science and Magic" book. Learning to light shinny subjects. A watch that I put away for a long time (since I started using cellphone, I believe). And that explains why I did not (could not) dial the hands to the proper positions (i.e. ten past ten).
Shot with D700+85mm PCE lens. 1/250s; f20; -1/3EV; ISO200

birdied
Another wonderful Wednesday!! Richard , congratulations on your beautiful granddaughter . BM Mills wishing you a long happy life with your beautiful bride.
Thanks to those who commented on my shot last week. I do appreciate it so very much.
The water is still calling me. Instead of colored paper , trying to capture an image in the drop. This proved to be quite frustrating trying to get the drop and the image sharp .

D300 60mm f/8 shutter 1/250 ISO 200 SB600 off camera

kevin_delson
Sometimes what we do not see in the world around us is fascinating.

This is a photo of a river ice flow.
A strong "S" curve was applied in levels with saturation turned way up.

To me, it looked like a view from orbit above the earth, with clouds, rivers, land masses; perhaps the beginnings of a hurricane?

durukan_payzanoglu
Just a quick response!
Congrats Richard! God bless the little one. alex.held
Hello All

Sorry for another Stink Bug!

Lil show us how a serious photographer handles the Macro world

Mine was taken with the "Lazy Photographer Metod". I just take around 20 handheld pics of the bug and show the less horrible.

It was taken a few days ago in my summer house backyard in Uruguay. I found that a non-edible berries bush was infected with Stink Bugs. In spanish we call it Chinche Verde.
May stink to humans but no the birds, in a week they had eaten all the bugs!

D300 + Tamron 90mm - 1/320 - f10 - ISO 800

sanford_dickerson
Once again, having problems posting. For the life of me, I just can't seem to master the art of posting. Each time I try to post it is a hit or miss. This digital "stuff" just goes over my head whenI try to edit my photos. sebastianmoran
David, you asked:

no matter what HTML code I insert it never centers

When you use HTML code here at photo.net, some tags are disabled. You cannot use the center tag here.

The only way to center a caption is to use the "upload a photo" option after submitting your text. For in-line display, the photo must be within a size limit and you must enter a caption. That caption will be centered. This confused me for a while.
Christopher Sperry Photogr
I decided to go back in time this week, to Glacier National Park: St.Mary Lake, taken from the seat of my kayak. This is a much less common viewpoint -- no tripod here! Thank you Tiffany for your appreciative comments on my photos. Your portraits are superb, and you have another beautiful photograph this week, with a wonderful perspective.

Nikon FM, Nikon 50mm f/1.4 AI, Fuji Reala

bendinglight
Walking through my hometown, Doylestown Pa..after a snowstorm..I tried out my Nikon D700 with an AI 25-70 zoom lens, manual focus..50mm, handheld leaning on a post, 1/3 second, aperture priority, F16, iso 3200, some adjustments in CS4..but did not adjust for lens distortion because I did not want to lose the top left traffic light. What I didn't see was the fellow on the second floor apartment above the entrance with a camera on a tripod ready to take a photograph in my direction
