michaela_wilkes1
I recently upgradedfrom xsi to the 50D. Already I love it. I noticed alot of different things, for instance I can shoot everything in RAW, even the auto settings, which I rarely ever used. My question is Im getting some errors on certain pictures I take when I upload them into PSE. Some pictures are not supported by software. Is there something Im doing wrong? Any tips to make things easier? I still have so much to learn.
py-photography
What version of PSE?
You might need to convert the raw to DNG format to work on them in older versions of Adobe software.
michaela_wilkes1
Its PSE 7, a fairly new version. I normally shoot in RAW and I did some of my kids in the snow and alot wouldnt load, so now Im shooting in raw and jpeg until I get it figured out
gabriel_l1
What exactly do you mean by "errors" and "not supported"—PSE won't load them? They look wrong?

Keep in mind that the in-camera auto settings (standard, landscape, monochrome, etc.) only show up in RAW convertors that take advantage of Canon's extra metadata (e.g., Digital Photo Pro). I'm not assuming that's your problem, but I figured I'd throw it out there while we await your next post.

ed_v.
Michaela, You may need to update the Camera Raw portion of PSE. Download and install Adobe Camera Raw 5.4: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4524 Hope this helps.

ed_v.
Sorry for my assumptions, Wayne. Since I use a PC that's the page Adobe's website led me to. Did a quick search for the Mac version: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4523
