michael_fan1
Hi,

Can anyone tell me some informations about the early R lenses with red scale? When did they stop using the red scale/reasons? Are these lense scare? I think this is an important information for collectors but cant find the info. in any ref. books. Thanks very much!
stuart_sender
My best guess is that they stopped using the red scale with the introduction of the Leicaflex SL about 1967, if not a little earlier. I suspect that red scale lenses were originally 1-cam. I have one such lens that had a second cam added for use on the SL. It is otherwise identical to the later lens. Hope this has been of some help.
Stuart
