c2500
I have a 100-300 FA Lense that worked fine the last time I used in back in the summer. I tried using it today, and on the long end after 200 or so it cannot auto focus. Even in manual it is very fuzzy on the long end. I tried it on my K100 and K-X with the same results. Any thoughts?
Oscar
andrewg_ny
Interesting. Do you see it go from clear to fuzzy when you zoom? Some chance it got knocked about?
c2500
I am unaware of it getting knocked around any...so I will go with highly unlikely. It will zoom in clearly at 100, then as you get higher it gets fuzzy. You can still make out the image, it is just fuzzy as opposed to sharp. I even have my K-X set for center focus only and it did the same thing the K100 did. I switched to my FA 80-200 and everything worked perfectly.
jgredline
I had bought a Pentax 80-320 lens a few years ago that did the same thing. I fixed mine by buying another one. I took the defective one and launched off the pier in Santa Monica beach.

c2500
No, no younguns around that I am aware of. I was just messing around with the lense. I put it on a ZX-M and it maually focused fine on the TV. I then tried it on the K-X and it works fine again. Is there any possibility the the CPL filter cold cause the interference?
