jim_forrest
HI,

Just noticed that I no longer seem to have a brightness and contrast facility in my image adjustment box on PS3. Has this been replaced by Exposue?

JIm
William Kahn
I don't know why it would disappear, but here's a workaround until you figure it out: Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Brightness/contrast, and click on OK. You'll have to flatten the image after adjustments...
JDMvW
Some things won't work for some kinds of files (e.g., tiff) and others will not work for some modes (RGB vs others). Have you reset something about the files? When I start noticing missing (i.e., grayed out commands) that's usually the problem.

Also, if you are working on a smaller screen, sometimes PS will not show all the menu choices, so you have to go to "show all menu choices" or some such at the bottom of the pull-down.

Those are the main things I can think of off-hand.
r_johnston
If using 16 or higher bits, some controls will not work.
Going into image, mod, and changing the file to 8bits they will then work.
BUT, in image, brightness/contrast this is not one of them.
You may have changed something or something on your system may have changed it. If this has only been true in the past few days, if you know how to restore the system to an earlier date, Id try that to see if it put it back where it should be. If you do not know how, get a friend who does, or check your documentation and help files.
